Prince Edward Island
Certificates Express can acquire the following certificates from the province of Prince Edward Island:
- Birth Certificates (wallet-sized, framing size, certified copy)
- Searches (for any three-year period)
Who can apply for a Birth Certificate?
Birth Certificates may be released to:
- The person named on the certificate
- A parent whose name appears on the registration from which the certificate is to be issued
- A person authorized, in writing of the person named on the certificate, or the parents of the person named on the certificate
- A court order
- A lawyer acting for the person, or parents named on the certificate (must have written authorization or proof of retainer)
Service Options:
Regular Service
- Choose this option to receive your certificate within the province's regular delivery time 10 to 15 days.
- Once we have received your completed application, we will process it for you using the standard government procedure.
- In all cases, your birth certificate will be sent by Express Post/Courier to you as soon as the province has completed processing.
Rush Service
- Expedited service is available for an additional fee.
- Certificate processing will be completed within 2 days.
- In all cases, your birth certificate will be sent by Express Post/Courier to you as soon as the province has completed processing.
